The Ashwood Academy promotes a Whole School Approach with Thrive and can individually profile students to target their needs. We also offer assessments for individual profiles and one to one support to our local schools to enable them to support their students.
Developing a young person’s emotional literacy skills is a vital tool in helping to overcome barriers to their learning and wellbeing. Students cannot always express their needs in words, but the way they behave often speaks volumes about how they are feeling. For some students there may be an obvious reason why they need extra support. This might be due to bereavement, family break down or an identified medical condition. For others, there may not be any obvious trigger as to why they are finding some aspects of school and or home life difficult.
Alison Burney, Amy Pontin and Peter Grinham are both Licensed Thrive Practitioner's.
